The Hidden Water

Once upon a time -it could be any time, it might be now- there was no water. It had hidden itself away, fearful that men would abuse it more terribly than ever. Yet a boy and a snake, heroes both  both humble and yet all-powerful because they were innocent and brave, and because they were friends although so different from each other, succeeded in coaxing the water back into the light of day. When the younger generation, Earth’s last hope, realizes that the only way we can survive is to show our love for the natural world surrounding us, then perhaps both they and we will live happily ever after.
